World Divided

Two sides,
To one equation.
One of them hidden,
From the main situation.

You have them,
And me.
Each side you condemn,
to never fully see.

On one half is family,
The other, love.
Separate neither is free,
To ever truly evolve.

Secrets within secrets,
Compounded with lies.
Have you any regrets,
Hidden from our eyes?

Time for one,
But not the other.
As you run,
Between family and lover.

One side gets your time,
The other, your heart.
The higher you climb,
The further they part.

Endless questions,
About your life.
Mysterious actions,
and unspoken strife.

Always alone,
But never have time.
Your skills  you hone,
While I just rhyme.

Primary,
Full of family.
Secondary,
Just me.

Carefully ensuring,
That worlds never cross.
Paths veering,
Obscured by moss.

Life like a coin,
Double sided.
Will you ever join,
Your worlds divided?
