Home to Mama

I'll never be the one,
You take home to mama.
Good for some fun,
But beware of drama.

I'll never be the girl,
Who meets your family.
Separate from your world,
As you conceal me.

A fling of your youth,
Till forever comes along.
Hiding all proof,
Till the day that I am gone.

I'll get the date,
Of back seats and seclusion.
She'll get the fate,
Of white dress and inclusion.

Never gonna have,
Your mom's approval.
Instead you'll be saved,
By my removal.

Hiding my existence,
From your family.
Keeping the distance,
For your own safety.

The nightmare of mothers,
Who love their sons.
Who'd rather you find others,
Than me to be the one.

Will I ever be accepted,
By the family of my lover?
Or forever be rejected,
In favor of another?
